How lucky are we to live in the land of four stunning seasons, endless celebrations of festivals, and the place where your dog can sign your marriage license?!

Here is a running list of the infinite locations in Colorado. From the San Juans to Garden Of The Gods - we're pretty sure Colorado has the best of everything.

So let's get started!

In no particular order:

Colorado Locations Guide for Sessions & Elopements

Rocky Mountain National Park

Oh how we love RMNP!! It holds such a special place in our hearts with all our memories witnessing couples say their vows and then explore mountaintops and forests.

FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR : all year is stunning! But, July to early September on Trail Ridge Road ( pictured below ) is heavenly,

Permit : No photo permit for sessions.
For ceremonies, you must obtain a $300 ceremony permit at one of their designated sites. We can help with this! Our favorites are : 3M curve, Moraine Amphitheater, Bear Lake ( Jan - April ) , and Sprague Lake.

You can take photos anywhere in the park though! You just have to get married within their sites.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Shrine Pass

The epitome of colorful Colorado!!

Shrine Ridge Trail at the end of July.

It's a hike for sure, but not too hard if you're up for it and prepared - we'll take a backpack of your outfits and everything we need.

It's a trail that just gets
more stunning at every single
turn.

Crested Butte

Crested Butte?! Don't tempt me with a good time !!!

The rumors are true, it's really something special.

FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR : summer wildflowers and fall aspens!

So many stunning locations where you can pretty much always find a quiet place just the two of you!

We love Rustler's Gulch, Gothic Road, Emerald Lake, Snodgrass Trail, Kepler Pass. We usually go here 1-2 times a year and are always looking for new locations.

We could totally document your elopement here and then get coffee at the lab on Gothic Rd.

An adorable mountain town you'll instantly fall in love with if you haven't already!

A free gondola and a cute old mining town, and some of the most stunning trails right from town.

Telluride!

Not too far away is Blue Lakes in Ridgway, probably the #1 place I've been dreaming of documenting a location at!

And Ouray which is known for its off roading and beautiful locations only accessible by four wheel drive vehicles.

It's absolutely incredible in the fall and summer.

Leadville is always a good time. Definitely a personal favorite.

Cute, eclectic, amazing views, what more could we want?

FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR : summer and fall!

Be sure to stop by City On A Hill Coffee and High Mountain Pies!

Buena Vista

Check out the Barn at Sunset Ranch for a stunning venue in the area!

Or, I've heard the Surf Hotel is pretty dreamy!

These cute canoes in the alley are enough reason to visit Salida, not to mention the river running through and the cute shops and small town feel!

Enjoy the river and wave to all the rafters passing through!

FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR : Summer!

Salida

Check out the Salida Steam Plant Theater and Event Center for a cute wedding venue!

Just 30 minutes from Denver, this is a great place for sessions.

FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR : Although a busy place in the summer, weekdays can be great! It's also great in spring and fall.

Mount Falcon West

There is another Mount Falcon park, but I prefer this one.

The correct address is:
21074 Mt Falcon Rd, Indian Hills, CO 80454

Just 30 minutes from Denver, this is a great place for sessions or a quick first look if your venue is nearby!

FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR : There's just something about an early fall session overlooking the twinkly lights of Golden at dusk.

Lookout Mountain, Golden

Boetcher Mansion is a quaint venue in the area.

Permit : $125 Annual Jeff Co Photography Permit

We are always amazed at the range of Colorado landscapes - and we often say this looks like Sedona!

GOTG is amazing for short hiking elopements and photo sessions for its beauty and accessibility.

Cons : It can get pretty crowded in the warmer months but opting for a weekday helps a ton!

Permit : There is no photo permit or ceremony permit.

FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR : I love them all, but it can be reallyyyy stunning with snow!

Garden Of The Gods

Vail Village on a summer morning in August? Pure bliss.

Take the Gondola to the peaks! Stroll around the Village specifically designed to emulate the feel of Swiss, Austrian, and German mountain towns.

It's so charming and quaint!

Vail Village

So stunning and accessible, making it great for sessions and families.

FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR : Lucky for us, the Flat Irons are beautiful and accessible all year!

You can also rent the LSP Pavillion for your ceremony for a gorgeous backdrop of the beloved foothills!

Lory State Park

Oh my what a happy place?!

Breckenridge is full of amazing places to get married, especially if you have a guest count around 40 - 50 people.

It's so fun and family friendly!

I've done smaller weddings at :

- Dillon Marina Park Pavillion
- Windy Point Campground
- Breckenridge Distillery
- an incredible Airbnb!
- Saphire Point Lookout
- Vue Rooftop Bar

Breckenridge/Dillon

Alright I really love this location!

It has been amazing in the fall and later summer, but I've been hoping to do a session here in mid June - early July to catch all the incredible purple lupine wildflowers that pop up! Are you in?

Silverthorne

A stunning mountain drive!

Guanella is beautiful in all seasons ( especially fall ) but closes at some point in the winter ( we lucked out with this session just before they closed for the winter! )

Georgetown is a great place to meet for a session here.

And no ceremony permit for smaller ceremonies with no set up.

So stunning and accessible, making it great for sessions and families.

Sweeping mountain views in a beautiful serene setting.

Loveland Pass!

“Jaclyn and her husband Chandler truly captured our wedding day in the most beautiful way. They are so kind, welcoming, and fun to work with!
